    Washington, D.C. – On the 100th day of the 114th Congress, Alaskan Congressman Don Young shared the following message with Alaskans to highlight the work he and his colleagues are doing in the U.S. House of Representatives to hold the Administration accountable and provide commonsense policy solutions for hardworking American families, communities and small businesses.To date, Congressman Young has joined his colleagues to cosponsored 89 separate bills.     WASHINGTON, D.C. – Alaskan Congressman Don Young and Representatives Mike Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Cheri Bustos (D-IL) have teamed up to introduce bipartisan legislation to ensure veterans play a critical role in rebuilding America’s infrastructure. H.R. 1694, the Fairness to Veterans for Infrastructure Investment Act, levels the playing field in federal contracting for veteran-owned businesses by providing veterans access to existing preferences authorized for transportation projects.

  • WH Formalizes Coastal Plain Wilderness Plan, Congressman Young Responds

    Washington, D.C. – Months after announcing its unilateral actions to close off more than 12 million acres of the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve (ANWR), the Obama Administration yesterday formalized its plans to begin managing the area as wilderness by releasing a revised Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CPC) and a formal request to Congress to approve the wilderness distinction.   • Young Supports House Passage of FY16 Budget Resolution

    Washington, D.C. – Alaskan Congressman Don Young  yesterday supported the passage of H. Con. Res. 27, a Balanced Budget for a Stronger America, which takes a number of balanced steps to eliminate wasteful spending, reform entitlements, cut the size of government, strengthen national security, and balance the nation’s budget over ten years. The bill, which sets budget levels for Fiscal Years 2017 to 2025, passed the House today by a vote of 228 to 199.
